Balsamic Vinegar Reduction

1 cup Balsamic Vinegar good quality (I like Costco’s Kirkland Signature)

2 tablespoons honey

1 whole clove garlic

1 bay leaf

Smash the garlic clove.  In a heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients.  If possible, use a stainless steel pot.  Bring to a boil over medium high heat.  Stir once.  Allow to boil for about 10-15 minutes or until the mixture is thick and syrupy.  Remove the bay leaf and garlic clove.  Save extra sauce in a clean glass jar and refrigerate.
